CASTRO TRIO & BJÖRN INGELSTAM

This evening at Pigalle Live, Castro Trio is joined by internationally acclaimed Swedish jazz musician, trumpeter and vocalist Björn Ingelstam — currently based in Paris after several years in New York.

Inspired by the timeless sounds of Django Reinhardt, the trio blends swinging rhythms, shimmering melodies and European folk influences into what is often referred to as Django jazz. Together with Björn’s vibrant mix of swing, bebop and funk, the evening moves somewhere between Parisian jazz clubs and late-night New York sessions.
