It was with great joy that ESS Group received the news that their 11 nominations in the international competition World Travel Awards not only resulted in one win, but in a total of six.

At the unique and fantastic Hotel Pigalle, you’ll find the French bistro Restaurant Pigalle. Open indoors year-round, and during the warmer months, the charming rooftop terrace is also available.

Sweden’s second-largest city is often overshadowed by the capital, Stockholm. But the popularity of Gothenburg—birthplace of Volvo (and Alicia Vikander), home to Michelin-star restaurants, picturesque architecture, sophisticated bar culture, renowned galleries and art museums, and designer shops—has exploded in the last few years.

The plush space—which is decorated in dark jewel tones and accented by velvet textiles, exaggerated drapery, and tufted cushions—was devised in an effort to offer guests a new level of luxury within the hotel.

Over 3,200 dogs have competed for the title of Pigalle Dog of the Year, and the hotel’s Facebook page has been flooded with cute and charming dogs, both big and small. It was Allan the Fox Terrier who ultimately took home the title of Pigalle Dog of the Year 2017.

The hyped Hotel Pigalle in Gothenburg has been recognized in both national and international press and was named one of the world’s 20 best new luxury hotels. Now the hotel is targeting a new audience: dogs – and is launching a luxurious dog room fronted by a homeless dog from Ireland.
